Gutter installation in Los Angeles
The Rain Gutter Specialists install seamless aluminum and copper rain gutters on homes and commercial buildings across Los Angeles. Each run is roll-formed on-site to the exact length of the wall, corners are mitered by hand and the gutters hang on hidden hangers. Most homes are finished in one day.

Why a house in LA needs gutters at all
Los Angeles doesn't get much rain, which is exactly the problem: when it comes, it comes all at once. A roof with no gutters dumps that water along the walls, onto the walkways and straight into the soil beside the foundation.
Gutters catch it at the roof edge and send it down a downspout and away from the house. Without them, the usual results are mold, rotting fascia, bubbling paint, cracked foundations and soggy drywall. (We've seen all five on one house. It was not a fun visit.)

Seamless vs. sectional gutters
Sectional gutters arrive in 10-foot pieces and get joined together on your roof. Every joint is a spot that can leak or pull apart. Seamless gutters are formed from a coil in the van parked at your curb, so a 50-foot wall gets one 50-foot piece.
| Seamless | Sectional | |
|---|---|---|
| Joints along a 40 ft run | None | 3 or more |
| Made | On-site, cut to the wall | In a factory, 10 ft lengths |
| Corners (our way) | Hand-mitered | Capped, 3 extra seams each |
| Hangers | Hidden, screwed | Often nails through the face |
Materials, profiles and colors to choose from
- Aluminum gutters: the most popular, in 36 baked enamel colors.
- Copper gutters: box or half round, aging to a natural patina.
- Bonderized steel gutters: the most dent-resistant, often on commercial buildings.
- Profiles: OG, half round, box and flat face, in 5 in. and 6 in.
- Finishing pieces: downspouts, rain chains, leader heads and rain barrels.
What happens on installation day
The crew arrives with the gutter machine in the van. Old gutters come down first and get hauled away for recycling. Then each run is formed, cut, fitted, hung on Hangfast hidden hangers and connected to the downspouts. Before the crew leaves, they test the water flow and clean up.
Most residential installations take a single day. Bigger homes, copper work and commercial buildings can take longer, and you'll know before the job starts.
