A family-owned gutter company that thinks gutters can look good

Guy's career began at a local rain gutter company, where he learned two things. First, a rain gutter is not a pretty product, and most customers worried it would spoil the look of their home. Second, most gutter companies couldn't afford an office, qualified crews or the time to be creative.

So when he started his own company, he set out to change both: a range of designs for every style of architecture, gutters treated as part of the house rather than an afterthought, and a real office that answers the phone, returns messages and replies to email.

• Trust over sales. We recommend what you need, not what pays best. No upselling, no pushed extras.
• Craft over shortcuts. Hand-mitered corners and hidden hangers, even though caps and nails are faster.
• A clear price. In writing, before work starts. The price quoted is the price you pay.
• Answer the phone. Good business is good communication.
