Rain chains with style and flow
A rain chain replaces a downspout with a chain of cups or links that guides water down to the ground where you can see and hear it. The Rain Gutter Specialists supply and install rain chains in copper, aluminum and stainless steel, from flared cups to Japanese-style Kenchiku chains.

Rain chain styles we install
| Style | Materials | Length |
|---|---|---|
| Flared cups | Aluminum (black, white, bronze), copper | About 8 ft |
| Copper Bells | Copper, aluminum | About 8 ft |
| Kenchiku | Pure copper, stainless steel | 7.5 to 8 ft |
| Square cups | Aluminum, black powder coat, slotted | 8 ft |
| Link chains (Zen Loops, Double Loops) | Copper, aluminum, stainless, powder-coated | Sold by the foot |
| Hammered dishes | Copper, aluminum | Catch basin at the base |
Where a rain chain works best
Rain chains carry less water than a downspout, so they're best at entries, patios and short roof sections. On a big roof the estimator will suggest pairing one with a regular downspout. They also splash more than a downspout, which is half the charm and the other half is a hammered dish at the bottom.

Rain chains questions
Can a rain chain replace a downspout?
A rain chain can replace a downspout on a small roof area such as an entry or patio. On larger roofs it is usually paired with a regular downspout because a chain carries less water.
How is the price worked out?
The Rain Gutter Specialists price each job from a free on-site measurement: the total length of the runs, the material, the profile and size, the number of corners and downspouts, and any removal. The price is given in writing before any work starts, and the price quoted is the price you pay.
